Legendary Crocodile Hunter, Steve Irwin, was famous Australian TV persona and wildlife expert. He was born 22. February 1962 in Essendon to parents Lyn and Bob Irwin. Steve was also the owner and manager of the Australia Zoo at Beerwah. Steve married fellow naturalist, Terri Irwin and couple had 2 children: daughter, Bindi Sue Irwin (1988) and son Robert Clarence "Bob" Irwin (2003).
Unfortunately, Steve died on 4 September 2006 after his chest was fatally pierced by a stingray barb at the Great Barrier Reef. Animated film, “Happy Feet” was dedicated in memory of Irwin.
