Janet Damita Jo Jackson was born on May 16 1966, in United States, Gary. She is an American singer, songwriter, musician, film and television actress best known for her successful music career. In 1982 she released her debut self titled album, and since then she has released nine more albums, selling over 26 million records worldwide.
She also starred in several films and television series, most notably "The Jacksons", "Good Times", "Diff'rent Strokes", "Fame", "Nutty Professor II", and "Why Did I Get Married?".
