Sonja Henie (born on 08/04/1912, in Oslo, Norway) was a Norwegian figure skater and actress best known for being the most decorated female figure skater of all time. In her professional career she was three-time Olympic Champion (1928, 1932, 1936), a ten-time World Champion (1927-1936) and a six-time European Champion (1931-1936).
During her film career, she was one of the most payed actresses of her time. Some of her most notable roles are in "Thin Ice", "Happy Landing", "My Lucky Star", "Everything Happens at Night" and "The Countess of Monte Cristo".
Sonja Henie died on 12 Oct 1969, at the age of 57.
